Je crois que la perte d\u2019un enfant est un \u00e9v\u00e9nement tellement douloureux qu\u2019il est presque impossible d\u2019\u00e9viter la d\u00e9pression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Quand nous souffrons de d\u00e9pression et d'anxi\u00e9t\u00e9, les conseils que nous recevons sont souvent les m\u00eames ; faire de l\u2019exercice, bien s\u2019alimenter, socialiser, trouver des activit\u00e9s, consulter en th\u00e9rapie. Cependant, ces moyens sont plus faciles \u00e0 dire qu\u2019\u00e0 faire et ne sont pas n\u00e9cessairement r\u00e9alistes \u00e0 tous les stades de d\u00e9pression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Au creux d\u2019une d\u00e9pression, c\u2019est beau avoir de bonnes intentions, mais le corps et notre environnement ne sont pas forc\u00e9ment adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 ces recommandations.  Par exemple, comment puis-je socialiser quand j\u2019ai tellement mal, n\u2019ayant m\u00eame pas assez d\u2019\u00e9nergie pour \u00eatre debout pendant plus que 5 minutes sans \u00eatre \u00e0 bout de souffle? C\u2019\u00e9tait cela ma r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Comment \u00ab bien s\u2019alimenter \u00bb quand on n\u2019a pas faim? Vous pouvez me pr\u00e9parer un souper d\u00e9licieux, mais avec mon mal de coeur, c'est impossible pour moi de manger des bons repas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Une approche plus saine consiste \u00e0 vous donner du temps et \u00e0 commencer par des actions simples, avant de passer aux recommandations typiques. En fait, les mesures \u00ab typiques \u00bb pourraient qu'aggraver les choses, en \u00e9puisant toute l'\u00e9nergie qui nous reste.  <br><br>Une personne tr\u00e8s d\u00e9prim\u00e9e peut \u00eatre compl\u00e8tement d\u00e9courag\u00e9e ou irrit\u00e9e par ce genre de conseils. Par exemple, je me souviens que plusieurs personnes, y compris des th\u00e9rapeutes, me conseillaient de joindre des groupes de \u00ab parents endeuill\u00e9s \u00bb. En apparence, cela est une excellente recommandation, mais la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 est que ces groupes de deuil peuvent \u00eatre \u00e9puisants, surtout au d\u00e9but. Et si c'est un de vos proches qui est d\u00e9prim\u00e9, il faut \u00eatre patient. Si la personne fait des efforts et fait de petits progr\u00e8s, c'est ce qui compte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Commen\u00e7ons par les petits gestes, qui peuvent tranquillement redonner de l'\u00e9nergie \u00e0 notre corps et \u00e0 notre \u00e2me. Une fois que nous sentons un peu mieux, nous pouvons alors passer aux plus grandes actions. Alors, sans plus tarder, voici 5 petits gestes quotidiens qui m'ont aid\u00e9 \u00e0 traverser le pire de ma d\u00e9pression. Puisqu'ils sont simples et peuvent \u00eatre faits de la maison, ces conseils peuvent \u00e9galement am\u00e9liorer la d\u00e9pression et le stress de la pand\u00e9mie COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-default\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"5-small-gestures-that-helped-me-overcome-depression\"><strong>5 gestes simples qui m\u2019ont aid\u00e9e \u00e0 surmonter une d\u00e9pression<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:14px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-open-the-curtains-as-soon-as-we-wake-up\"><strong>1) Ouvrir les rideaux d\u00e8s le r\u00e9veil<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Lorsqu\u2019Ad\u00e9lie \u00e9tait encore hospitalis\u00e9e et j\u2019\u00e9tais au creux de ma d\u00e9pression, mon premier geste matinal \u00e9tait d\u2019ouvrir pleinement les rideaux.  En ouvrant les rideaux, je pouvais ressentir mes yeux absorber la lumi\u00e8re du jour, ce qui m\u2019apportait l\u2019espoir qu\u2019un jour, les choses iraient mieux. Ce fait vous semblera exag\u00e9r\u00e9, mais c\u2019est la r\u00e9alit\u00e9. En regardant dehors, c\u2019\u00e9tait comme si une certaine source d\u2019\u00e9nergie venait me rejoindre et m\u2019accompagner dans mon deuil. \u00ab Les effets induits par la lumi\u00e8re de la s\u00e9rotonine sont d\u00e9clench\u00e9s par la lumi\u00e8re du soleil qui p\u00e9n\u00e8tre dans l'\u0153il. Se commettre \u00e0 des plans, tel un souper avec des amis, peut gruger beaucoup d\u2019\u00e9nergie. C\u2019est ainsi qu\u2019il est important de dire \u00ab non \u00bb \u00e0 des activit\u00e9s propos\u00e9es si notre niveau d\u2019\u00e9nergie est limit\u00e9. \u00c0 cet effet, il faut surtout \u00e9viter de se rajouter de la pression et de l\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 avec des plans \u00e0 notre horaire. \u00c0 cette fin, avoir des limites et savoir dire non font partie d'une fondation solide de notre sant\u00e9 mentale et de notre gestion du stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u00ab Sachez que quand vous dites non aux autres et aux choses que vous ne voulez pas, vous dites oui \u00e0 quelque chose de mieux \u2013 vous-m\u00eame. \u00bb<\/em><\/p><cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.harleytherapy.co.uk\/counselling\/saying-no.htm\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/www.harleytherapy.co.uk\/counselling\/saying-no.htm<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Une approche plus saine consiste \u00e0 commencer par de petites sorties comme prendre des marches, jardiner, magasiner. Ces activit\u00e9s simples peuvent \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9es selon notre propre horaire, lorsque nous nous en sentons capables. Nous avons le contr\u00f4le de mettre fin \u00e0 l'activit\u00e9 plus t\u00f4t si notre \u00e9nergie est r\u00e9duite.<br><br>\u00catre occup\u00e9s, faire des choses plus cool et montrer toutes nos r\u00e9alisations sur Instagram, ne fait pas de nous une personne plus digne de ce nom. Ce sont les actions qui soutiennent les autres et nous-m\u00eames qui nous m\u00e8neront \u00e0 \u00eatre une meilleure personne.<br><br>Pour ma part, ma sortie \u00e9tait de me rendre \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital et de passer du temps avec Ad\u00e9lie. J'ai eu quelques sorties organis\u00e9es avant la pand\u00e9mie, mais je les gardais au minimum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:16px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3-watch-television\"><strong>3) Regarder la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Ceci risque de vous surprendre, puisque nous entendons souvent parler des effets n\u00e9fastes de regarder les \u00e9crans. Toutefois, pour ma part, \u00e9couter la t\u00e9l\u00e9 m\u2019a aid\u00e9e. La t\u00e9l\u00e9vision est une excellente fa\u00e7on de se distraire, plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment pour penser \u00e0 autre chose que notre situation imm\u00e9diate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Certaines autres alternatives, comme la lecture, requi\u00e8rent beaucoup d\u2019\u00e9nergie, \u00e9nergie que je n\u2019avais pas. Les r\u00e9seaux sociaux ne sont pas n\u00e9cessairement mieux car ils nous font rappeler que les autres ont du plaisir tandis que nous n\u2019avons pas; pour ma part, \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital avec un enfant malade, et en deuil d\u2019un enfant d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tv-is-not-always-bad\"><strong>La t\u00e9t\u00e9 n'est pas toujours mauvaise <\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">En revanche, la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision est une activit\u00e9 impersonnelle et passive qui exige peu d\u2019\u00e9nergie. Elle donnait un peu de r\u00e9pit \u00e0 mon cerveau et \u00e0 mes pens\u00e9es. M\u00eame si, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement, elle me permettait d\u2019oublier ma cruelle r\u00e9alit\u00e9 que 5 minutes d'affil\u00e9e, 5 minutes \u00e9taient mieux que rien. C\u2019\u00e9tait la plus facile forme d\u2019\u00e9vasion. Un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2021\/03\/watching-tv-lockdown-positive-mental-health\">article<\/a>, publi\u00e9 durant la pand\u00e9mie, l'explique bien :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">\u00ab De nombreuses organisations de sant\u00e9 mentale proposent des strat\u00e9gies pour prot\u00e9ger la sant\u00e9 mentale, comme faire de l'exercice, bien dormir et profiter de la nature. Cela peut nous faire supposer que regarder la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision est donc mauvais pour notre bien-\u00eatre mental. Mais il existe des preuves sugg\u00e9rant que regarder la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision peut aussi \u00eatre bon pour nous - si nous nous y prenons de la bonne mani\u00e8re :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><li>Alors que beaucoup d'entre nous regarderont davantage la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision pendant la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19, des \u00e9tudes ont montr\u00e9 que certaines \u00e9missions peuvent \u00eatre bonnes pour notre sant\u00e9 mentale.<\/li><li>Bien que regarder la t\u00e9l\u00e9 en rafale ne soit pas recommand\u00e9e, les \u00e9missions de t\u00e9l\u00e9vision qui nous font rire ou font ressentir des \u00e9motions positives peuvent contrecarrer les sentiments n\u00e9gatifs.<\/li><li>Trouver des moyens de rester positif et heureux est vital. \u00bb <sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote\" data-mfn=\"2\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"000000000000104d0000000000000000_2956\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  title=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2021\/03\/watching-tv-lockdown-positive-mental-health\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-000000000000104d0000000000000000_2956-2\">2<\/a><\/sup><span id=\"mfn-content-000000000000104d0000000000000000_2956-2\" role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2021\/03\/watching-tv-lockdown-positive-mental-health\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2021\/03\/watching-tv-lockdown-positive-mental-health<\/a><\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:16px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"4-keep-those-curtains-open\"><strong>4) Garder les rideaux ouverts<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">J\u2019ai toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 une grande fervente de la lumi\u00e8re naturelle. Une maison lumineuse avec une fenestration abondante \u00e9tait mon crit\u00e8re num\u00e9ro 1 lorsque nous recherchions une maison pour notre famille. Et je crois fortement que sa luminosit\u00e9 m\u2019a aid\u00e9e durant ma d\u00e9pression, surtout une fois qu\u2019Ad\u00e9lie \u00e9tait de retour \u00e0 la maison durant la pand\u00e9mie. Gr\u00e2ce au petit-coin banquette ensoleill\u00e9 de notre cuisine, je pouvais passer du temps avec le soleil qui me frappait dans le dos. Parfois, je prenais des siestes sur la banquette en absorbant la lumi\u00e8re du soleil. Carl a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 m\u2019appeler le \u00ab chat \u00bb avec mes siestes au bord de la fen\u00eatre. Je pouvais \u00e9galement admirer la nature et ressentir une certaine libert\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Au Centre hospitalier pour enfants de l'est de l'Ontario (CHEO), nous avions la chance d'avoir une grande fen\u00eatre dans la chambre d'Ad\u00e9lie. Pendant les 103 jours que nous y avons pass\u00e9s, je me souviens avoir re\u00e7u le conseil de prendre des marches dehors. Mais c'\u00e9tait l'hiver et je n'avais pas l'\u00e9nergie pour sortir. Au lieu, je profitais de la lumi\u00e8re naturelle par la fen\u00eatre. Quand il faisait beau, j'en profitais pour ouvrir les stores, regarder dehors et capter les rayons.
