Our Facebook Reels

A couple of months ago, I decided to create a Facebook Group on which I can easily post Reels and Stories. Prior to that, I had previously created the Grieving Maman Facebook Page, but soon realized that people who were following my Page weren’t even seeing the posts I would create!

Facebook Page or Facebook Group?

After a bit of research about Facebook pages and from my own experience, I began to understand that would have to pay money to reach the followers of my Page. Uh, no thank you, I’m not a business!

Fortunately, I found an alternative, which was to create a Group. With a Group, the reels and posts are now actually being viewed. 😊

What are Reels?

Reels allow to create fun videos to share with your family and friends, or anyone who follow your social media account. Reels are popular on Tik Tok, Instagram and Facebook. They can include 1 video or multiple videos, usually last between 15 and 60 seconds in total, and can also be shared publicly.

What do you include in your Reels?

When I create a Reel, I try to include content that is meaningful for us and interesting for others. Examples include updates on Adélie and her therapies, meaningful quotes, cheerful moments, mental health tips, important dates, etc.

Why do you post more on Social Media rather than this Blog?

Reels can be done quickly. When I create a Reel, I also gain access to a full music library. This makes it easy to find catchy music, making the Reel enjoyable to watch and personalized.

How can I make sure I don’t miss your Reels?

If you have a Facebook account, all you need to do is “Join” my group and you should be able to see my Reels moving forward. Please note that I don’t always post the Reels on my personal Facebook page, so following the group is better. Click here for the link to the group if you wish to join.

If you only have an Instagram account, you can also follow me on Instagram. However, I don’t post all my Reels on Instagram, so Facebook will include more.

Can I see an example of a Reel?

Below are my last two Reels (about Adélie’s Therapy), which include videos, text and music. I would be happy if you could share my Reels as they often have useful information that could help others!

Another example which is more about Zackaël (visiting his headstone) and Grief.

That’s it for now!
